Welcome to the 2008
Marching Band Season!

The Overbrook High School Marching Rams are a very active and competitive group. To maintain this activity on a proficient level, dedication to improvement at each performance and rehearsal is vital. Each member must do his or her part in presenting the Marching Ram band as best they can at all times. Our ultimate goal is not to be "first place", but to perform at our best, and to constantly improve.

For some of us this has become "old hat" while for others this will be a new experience. For this reason we have compiled a list of helpful notes that we hope will make this experience an enjoyable one. You can find a listing of the Marching Band Rules by clicking the Rules link on the left.

1. During marching band season practice will be held every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6-9 PM

2. The band performs at all football games, as long as they do not interfere with competitions. During away games they perform before the start of the game, while at home games they perform at half-time, in any case, they will play in the stands throughout the game.
   
3. Students should wear their band T-shirt under their uniform and black, over the calf socks for all performances.
   
4. Mr. Height provides directions for all competitions. They can be found in the band room prior to the departdure for the event.
   
5. It is important to the students to have a fan following. There are many parents that go to these events, If you are looking for transportation to one of these competitons feel free to ask someone.
   
6. Blue pants will be used for both football games and for competitions. It is the responsibility of the student to have a clean uniform for all performances, and return that uniform at the end of the marching band season cleaned.
   
7. At the championship competition the band is required to sell a certain number of tickets to the event, therefore if you are going to the competition please purchase your ticket from Mr. Height
